WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We seek a highly skilled civil litigation defense attorney with a strong track record in managing large caseloads and guiding cases through trial. You will be entrusted with building client relationships, directing litigation strategies, and mentoring junior attorneys.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all phases of litigation from intake through trial, including client communication, case strategy, and outcome evaluation.
- Serve as first or second chair in trial proceedings, taking depositions, mediations, and arbitrations as needed.
- Develop and maintain strong client partnerships by offering strategic, comprehensive legal advice and clear communication.
- Collaborate with and guide associates to ensure excellence in legal research, brief writing, and trial preparation.
- Evaluate case strengths and weaknesses, propose case budgets, and deliver regular reports to both clients and firm leadership.
- Ensure adherence to all ethical and legal standards, continuously improving department processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school (required)
- Active bar license in the State of California (required)
- Minimum of 7+ years of civil litigation defense experience
- Demonstrated trial experience, including first- or second-chair roles in complex cases
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven ability to build rapport with clients and mentor junior team members

PAY RANGE
$180,000.00 – $250,000.00 per year
