Firm Goals

Wesierski & Zurek LLP seeks to demonstrate that a smaller firm can deliver high-quality legal services in many sophisticated areas of the law while providing the added benefit of close personal relationships with its clients.

The firm selects its attorneys carefully and trains them to become proficient in their areas of specialization. Continuing legal education is strongly supported in order to ensure that the firm’s attorneys stay current with new developments in the law. This, in turn, enables the firm to meet the changing needs of its clients.

Wesierski & Zurek LLP understands the need for prompt, efficient, and cost-effective handling of all legal matters. The firm uses state-of-the-art technology to provide an economical service to its clients.

The firm meets with clients at the outset of our representation to develop an individualized litigation plan that is agreed upon by the client and the firm, which also provides a cost estimate for the activity to be performed. The firm typically will seek the consent of a client to undertake certain activities, such as depositions, to reaffirm the client’s consent to an activity that can be potentially costly.

The philosophy of Wesierski & Zurek LLP includes a strong emphasis on the close personal relationships that should develop between legal professionals and their clients. One of the benefits of these relationships is that our attorneys grow to understand our client’s needs and thereby provide our clients with the highest quality legal services. Wesierski & Zurek LLP attorneys are not afraid to go to trial when necessary, and they look forward to the challenge without losing sight of the cost involved. We have more trial experience than many other firms our size, and our success rate for favorable jury verdicts is extremely high. (over 97%).

Christopher P. Wesierski

Welcome to the website for Wesierski & Zurek LLP. For those of you who are not familiar with our firm, we started on November 1, 1987, with five attorneys, and we have now more than quintupled over the years. We have grown slowly because we carefully choose what attorneys we bring on to the firm because we want those attorneys to work well within the firm and also with our clients. Our firm prides itself on its trial experience and results. We try, on average, 25 to 30 trials per year, and we are successful every year in over 97% of those trials. We obtain either an outright defense verdict for our clients if they are defendants or a verdict that is less than the offer that was made.

Throughout the years, major companies have entrusted their legal work to our firm, including such companies as Yum! Restaurants International (Taco Bell, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and Pizza Hut), Volvo (Heavy Equipment and Volvo Penta), Red Robin Restaurants, Kawasaki, Marriott Hotels, Jack in the Box, Black & Decker Tools, Corning (now known as World Kitchen, Inc.), Ralphs, Albertsons, Laidlaw, and Olen Properties. Many insurance carriers through the years have entrusted their work to our firm also, including State Farm Insurance, St. Paul Insurance, 21st Century Insurance, Travelers Insurance, Mercury Insurance, Zurich Insurance, Progressive Insurance, Balboa Insurance, Atlantic Insurance, General Accident Insurance, and Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, Wawanesa General Insurance, Interinsurance Exchange of the Automobile Club, USLI, and Broadspire.

I am very proud that our firm works together as a team on any case that we have and that through collaboration, we are able to provide a much better work product for our clients since the client derives the benefit of all the legal minds from the firm who are consulted even though the client is not charged for those consultations.

Our firm has handled every kind of case imaginable, including professional liability actions where we have defended doctors, dentists, real estate appraisers, insurance agents, and lawyers. We have also defended insurance carriers for bad faith actions and other types of cases, including claims based on violation of statutes and case law. We also handle numerous business litigation disputes.

Moreover, we specialize in employment matters and have defended many, many companies and individuals as defendants and occasionally represented some individuals as plaintiffs.

We have represented restaurants and stores in regard to claims against them for any type of employment claim as well as assault and battery situations or shootings or other claims, and we have represented hotels and motels in regard to the same type of claims. We have defended various businesses in regard to claims for failure to provide handicapped access, and we have won those cases in trial.

We have six individuals in the firm who are members of ABOTA (American Board of Trial Advocates), and I am particularly proud of that since being asked to join that organization required a minimum of 20 verdicts to trial at one time. Three of our members are Advocates, which means that each has tried at least 50 trials to verdict. Overall, if you bring your case to our firm, I can promise you that we will represent you diligently, with perseverance, and most of all, with the dignity and respect that your case deserves.

We are an accomplished and highly-respected firm, and we handle cases from San Diego all the way to San Francisco and out to San Bernardino. We have handled cases in each venue in those counties and in between.

We use our state-of-the-art technology for both trial and litigation to always keep your case moving toward resolution in a manner that will be successful for you and your interests.

We at Wesierski & Zurek LLP look forward to meeting you and working with you on your cases, and providing you with the best possible legal representation in the most expeditious and cost-effective manner we can provide.

Please give me a call if you have any questions in regard to the firm or any of our attorneys or staff. I look forward to talking with you at any time.
