He has successfully tried cases to verdict in New York and California.

A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, and Indiana University School of Law, he started the practice of law in New York City in 1985 and tried his first case that same year representing Otis Elevator to a defense verdict. Jim was admitted to practice law in California in 2006. Jim is a member of both the California and New York State Bar Associations and is also admitted to the Federal District Courts in California and New York, and the United States Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit.
