Brett Smith is an Associate Attorney in the Orange County office of Wesierski & Zurek LLP.
His practice focuses on General Civil Litigation with an emphasis on defending claims against Cities, Municipalities, and Insurers.
Mr. Smith advises and defends clients in various cases ranging from property disputes to catastrophic injuries, which include Traumatic Brain Injuries, Paralysis, and Wrongful Death actions.
Further, Mr. Smith is well-versed in all aspects of General Liability relating to Motor Vehicle Accident and Insurance liability claims.
Prior to working at Wesierski & Zurek LLP, Mr. Smith worked as a Major League Baseball scout for the Miami Marlins, Los Angeles Angels, as well as Paragon Sports International where he assisted in the firms’ arbitration practice.
During his time scouting and developing amateur ballplayers, Mr. Smith worked at the Law Offices of Robert J. Christensen in Rancho Santa Margarita, California where he helped aggrieved beneficiaries litigate trust disputes.
Mr. Smith earned his undergraduate degrees from the University of California, Irvine, where he double-majored in English and Sociology, thereafter earning his Juris Doctor, from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, California.
During law school, Mr. Smith worked briefly in Criminal Defense and also volunteered at various Veteran’s Law Clinics affiliated with LLS.
Mr. Smith was born in Fullerton, California and grew up in La Habra, CA. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, Major League Baseball, delta blues music, and snowboarding.
